Deborah began her career in Chicago 1982 and has become recognized as one of the USA's leading designers of high-end kitchen projects. From 1994-2001 Deborah represented Rutt Custom Cabinetry as the owner of Rutt of Chicago in the Chicago Merchandise Mart and relocated to the New Orleans region in 2006. Deborah has been working on rationalizing her business to form Deborah James Coastal Kitchens in July 2007 and launched the Deborah James Coastal Collection in the late summer of that year.
When not working... Debi enjoys life at her home in New Orleans, as well as spending time with her family.

Principal responsibilities: sales, marketing, administration
Stephen has enjoyed a highly-successful career in marketing communications, sales, and business management - the highlight of which was the launch of his own successful PR consultancy in 1987, which he still runs today out of both the UK and the USA and incorporates all elements of PR, marketing communications, and business development. Stephen is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce (FRSA).
When not working... Stephen is an inveterate "wordsmith": He has written hundreds of articles and given talks throughout the world on his hobby of fishkeeping and fish-breeding, and on marketing & PR. His studies of the written and the spoken word have even led him to achieve acareer in voice-over acting and he has subsequently appeared as a presenter on the occasional TV show. He loves "all things American", especially cars, football, and baseball (not to mention being a big soccer fan!).

| Rachelle Simmons-Taling

Principal responsibilities: design-enginering, technical
Rachelle earned her BS degree in Interior Design from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC with a Minor in Business and a Concentration in Art History. Upon graduation in 1996, she joined the Rutt of Chicago team, under the ownership of Deborah Oertle, in the Chicago Merchandise Mart. As head of the engineering department, Rachelle was involved in design, drafting, and technical issues for each project, and she assisted Deborah on Charlie Trotter’s residential demonstration kitchen.
