At the heart of any good business is a great product. And Deborah James Coastal Kitchens enjoys a relationship with our manufacturing partners which ensures that only the very finest cabinetry comes out of our manufacturing facilities.
Our principal manufacturing partner is headed by former senior management of the then Rutt Custom Cabinetry, providing their experience of the highest-end engineering and manufacture. And they have taken it further by introducing manufacturing elements previously unobtainable without outsourcing, such as special finishes and exquisite wood carving.
Situated in the heart of Pennsylvania, we ship from our manufacturer to locations across the USA and throughout the world.
And our raw materials comply with all the requirements of "green" certification, using WWF certified hardwoods and plywoods and without compromising the highest-quality custom cabinetry available anywhere.

From processing to manufacture - the highest professional expertise
Your orders are handled with the experience of highly-qualified processing staff at DJCK. As your processing partner, the company brings to your studio over 50 years of processing experience with high-end custom cabinetry.
DJCK Co-Owner Deborah Oertle is the former owner of Rutt of Chicago, in the Chicago Merchandise Mart, and developed the concept of “kitchen engineering” years ago in tandem with Rutt of Chicago chief engineer, Rachelle Simmons-Taling, who is now our chief design engineer at DJCK.
We believe that the core of every amazing kitchen is the quality of the specification writing and that clear and precise AutoCAD manufacturer's drawings are required for every custom kitchen. So we pride ourselves on providing the highest standards of service to every interior design professional. Our products are sold through the trade only and are available only through registered interior designer/specifier accounts; not “down the street”.
Samples
When a bid is accepted, full front samples of the kitchen are sent from our manufacturing facility to the designer’s doorstep at no charge, for approval. Designers may order a sample drawer box and chips in order to show various finishes and the quality of the drawer system.
